Hi Caitlin, All your pictures are really great! The texture and how clear your pictures is really great! I love the horse pictures! My favorite picture is the last one in chapter 1. This picture is really great with just being able to see the silhouette and with it being black and white it is perfect!
Caitlin, you've got a great collection going. Your chapter titles are totally on point and do a great job putting the viewer into a mindset before even getting to the pictures. I love how all your photos seem to have a rural feel to them. It's got a simplicity to it that you don't see in the city. I think that makes it fresh. I like the 3rd photo in Chapter 2 as your pic of the year.
My favorite picture is the final photo of Chapter 1. I like what you did with your chapters, you clearly took sometime developing them. By having a statement it lets us create or own story for you as they lead us rather then tell us. One of the aspects I enjoyed about your collection this semester is your passion for horses. That is something I do not usually see and you gave me an understanding of something I would never have the chance to know. Thanks for that.
My favorite section of your portfolio is "a hard earned peace" it really gives the viewer a look into your daily routine which I think is portrayed really well. I love the textures you have captured in many of the pictures, especially the close up picture of the horse (I would vote this as your POY). I think your portfolio showcases a lot of the lessons throughout the semester and how you interpreted them. Awesome job!
Hey Caitlyn, I really like this set and how you decided to organize it. Your fourth picture in your fourth chapter is very compelling. You combined the techniques from the shutter speed and mystery very well to create a photo that you're unsure of what it is at first and once you find yourself keep going back to.
Hey Caitlyn! First off, I love the originality of your chapter titles. The chapters are very fitting for the pictures that follow them. My favorite picture is number 6 from Chapter 3. I love the angle of it any how close you got to the subject. The cool color temperature really adds to the photo too. Good job this semester!
Hey Caitlyn. You made some real good images this semester, and this portfolio does a real nice job of conveying that. I honestly think that image of the person on horseback, the very last image in your first chapter, is probably your best image, followed closely by the image in the car at night. The only thing I'd change is the second image in the very last chapter. The photo before, also of shoes, is a lot stronger. Good job.
My favorite is Chapter 1, photo 1. I like how you captured the texture of the shoes. This is also great use of depth of field. The black and white really added to the photo as well. Chapter 1, photo 4 is a great example of using framing to enhance the uniqueness of a picture and make it more visually appealing. Chapter 1, photo 6 is great use of lighting.
Hey Caitlyn, My favorite photo is from ch 3 photo 2. I love the blue in the photo and it pops. The birdhouse being off centered really made me look at the photo for a long time to understand the photo as a whole. Overall your portfolio was full of lots of great photos showing techniques you have learned all semester. Great job.
Hi Caitlin, I really enjoyed the way you organized your photos. My favorite shot is the black & white silhouette of the girl on the horse from the first chapter. Very beautiful.
The first picture in your second chapter is so cool. I like how you can tell that you are horse back riding but you can still see what's going on. It doesn't look too blurred which I really like.
