My favorite photo is #2. It reminds me of a pinup type of photo with the pose and polka-dots. You used a good mixture of indoor and outdoor photos. You did a good job of showing the vintage topic in your photos.
My favorite is #8. This picture is so eerie and home-y at the same time. It reminds me of being at home. Even though I have never had a swing set in my backyard at home, I have seen pictures of my friends on their swing sets in their childhood homes. It makes it really feel vintage. It also gives it this almost creepy look that there is this presence still there or maybe I am just in a phase where I think everything looks mysterious! Overall, great pictures!
Hi Mariah, my favorite photo is #1. I've seen other people capture the theme Vintage/Memory in objects, buildings and places. But I think you were the only one that captured the same theme in what a person is wearing. I think this is a unique approach to what I've seen so far and I enjoyed your photos.
#4 is my favorite. The composition, subject matter, and colors make it very visually appealing. #12 was a creative and cool idea for a self portrait, I'm running out of ideas for interesting self portraits for this class. #2 uses the vintage effects well.
Hey Mariah, My favorite image is #7, It definitely fit the assignment well and it reminded me of an abandoned town. Very creepy and fitting with the time period.
i really enjoy pictures 1 and 2 i like how you set it up and dressed up in a way to portray the vintage theme i give you props if this is how you dress in everyday life because i too am into vintage wears its the best.
Hi Mariah! My favorite shot of yours is the rusted swing set- not only does it have a vintage vibe, but it makes it feel as though I'm on the set of a horror flick. It's really creepy, in a good way. I also like the framing of the corn field and the tree next to the swing set. I like that this photo makes the viewer think back to their childhood and all the great memories they had on similar play sets.
I enjoy what you did with this. Those first two portraits are pretty stellar, and I really like the last portrait as well, which is probably why it's my favorite. Some of the images are a little lost on me, but maybe I'm not looking hard enough. Good job.
Hi Mariah! I really love your second photo--you look like a beautiful pin up girl. Maybe if you just cropped it a little, it would really add to the vintage feel. Overall, really nice job.

ReplyDeleteI'd say my favorite is #8. Love the grain and how old it feels. Also think the one with the two gentleman is humourous, and is that a real snowflake!?
