Great job! I really liked the white boarder on a majority of the photos. It made me think of Polaroids right away. My favorite is photo 3. It really looks like a photo that was taken decades ago of a wedding. It really portrays the topic of memory and vintage.
Hey Ian, two things that I really like about your set is that there's a lot of people in time and your filters and framing have a way of making certain pictures look timeless. My favorite picture here is #1, I really like the background texture and the way you framed it and yourself is unique and has a vintage 1970s vibe to it.
I think that #6 is probably my favorite. It's so mysterious and it almost makes me a little anxious. I have no idea what the building is or where it is. I also do not see any people around so it almost looks abandoned. I also get these nerves while looking at it because I feel like a storm is coming and someone is going to come out and scare me. It's a really nice picture. All your other ones are really great as well. I really like all the borders for it!
Hey- number 1 is my favorite. I love how old and vintage the setting of it is with the wallpaper. I also liked 13 a lot because I liked the Jessica rabbit nature. Overall I like the style of your shots-good framing and Angles.
Nice stuff right here. Nice film emulator effects. I kind of wish #6 had a little bit less shadow so I could see some detail in it. IT honestly might have been my favorite. #13 nails the assingment with the attire. Looks just like an old photo.
#3 is my favorite. It really captures the concept of the memory/vintage assignment. It appears like an old and faded memory, but the filter effects give it a warm and happy feeling. #13 also has impressive lighting/shading technique and the composition/subject matter make it impressive visually.
I like how you turned this assignment into a photo album of various characters. I believe that your photo set is suppose to relate to a memory which the various person(s) in them. I also think your use of the various filters helped make your pictures appear much older than they were, giving them the vintage feel. My favorite shot is #13. It appears that this was a directed shot, and by creating the setting you really made this appear as if it was taken years ago.
your first picture is actually amazing, i cant even tell what is going on in the picture but it is b y far the best self portrait ive seen in this course. i love how the background in the mirror matches the background above the mirror and then it looks like your head is floating but yet it is the main focus of the photo nice work
Hey Ian! My favorite shot is 12. I love how the photo blends into the "film" frame you have- it really looks like negative film. The only thing I would have liked to see with this picture is the amber color most negative film is. I still love the shot and how it fades out but you're still able to see the subject and scene. This shot was definitely the most thought provoking.
Hi Ian. I think you did a really nice job with this set of photos. There's a nice balance between "memory" and the vintage aspect. You did a great job with the filters; they're not too heavy handed.
