My favorite photo was #15. The stoop reminds me of my grandmothers old house in Philly. I like how you used black and white in some of your photos. I think to make your photos feel a little warmer would be to have objects that mean something to you and to have a mixture of photos indoor and outdoor. You did a good job making the photos seem old.
Hey Kendel, I like your overall theme of borders and fences. My favorite photo from this set is #10, it reminds me of the bikes I used to ride in Italy. You do a great job of shooting a moment that one would easily pass on the street and capturing all the various colors and details in the frame.
13 is my favorite! Even though normally you don't split a photo in half, I love the divide in textures and think it makes it all the more interesting. I liked your theme of buildings and doors- very old looking and vintage.
Hi Kendal. I really like your photo #12. I think the content of the photo fits well with the theme of Vintage/Memory. I think if you made it b&w it might even be more memory-provoking.
Hi Kendel, All your pictures are really neat, especially since you didn’t use too much of a filter, but your pictures still look vintage which is really nice. My favorite picture is number 10 because like I said before I don’t think there is a filter on this, but it still looks only and vintage. Good job!
#4 is my favorite. It uses space really well. I like the large white negative space and how it contrasts the the muted tones of the other half of the photograph that has great distance on the z axis. I like the coloring of #2. I like the subject matter of #15 as well of the shallow depth of field that picture has.
My favorite photo is your SP1. Having the mirror dirty creates a vintage feel. Also the side by side pictures makes you dwell on time. Its almost as if its frozen.
my favorite is #12. I just love that building and I know that there is a lot of history within it. It gives it a vintage/retro feel while also giving it a modern twist with all the cars and such. I would just recommend to edit it more and give it more of a vintage filter!
I appreciate what you were going for here, but i don't really get a vintage or retro feel to it. I feel that maybe the difference between pictures of old, broken things in a vintage style vs just pictures as is is how you present it, and honestly I think that having some filters on there would have driven the point home a bit more. I think 5 is the most interesting image because it pops the most, like an overly saturated old micro film print would.
