  1. My favorite photo was #8. It made me feel like the photo taken of cousins on the family outing. I like how you added the white frame making it seem like a Polaroid photo. The addition of locations or the names of people to the bottoms really added to the illusion of vintage. It feels like I have just looked through an old photo album that portrays your memories. Good job.

  2. Hey Michael, this is an awesome set! Your filters and frames really make it seem that these are vintage, faded polaroids someone found in their basement. My favorite picture from this set is #9. The dinner setting could be from any time period and is such a shared experience that it recalls similar feelings for everyone.

  3. My favorite was 8 for sure. I loved
How vintage it really felt with the high contrast black and white and not everything looking autofocused. It also is slightly creepy. Also! Mad good idea making everything look like Polaroids. It really gives that old feel and connection to the whol series.

  4. Hi Michael, All your pictures are really great, and I really like how you put a Polaroid frame around them to make them look vintage. My favorite picture is number 7 because it is somewhat of an action shot of someone working on homework or a drawing or something. It looks really realistic which I really like. Good job!

  5. Hey Mike,

You nailed the vintage/memory theme of this assignment. There was not one image that didn't feel like I stepped back in time. The Polaroid frame for each photo was a great idea too. It helped create the setting but also the made images flow like a story even tho they may not necessarily relate. I also like the coffee stain on 4, it was a good idea. Your photos are easily communicated and very relatable. We have all been on the family breakfast and have that crazy uncle. Adding captions at the bottom inferred a story without having to capture one. You let the viewer decide your characters personalities like Dr.Frank and Uncle Eddie. Overall, I think this is my favorite set. My favorite picture is #2.

  6. I really like the old polaroid framing effect you used, it really adds to the vintage feel of all of the photos. #1 is my favorite. I really like the stark black and white coloring and how it washes out at the top, like a genuine old photo. I also really like the coloring/vintage filter on #2.

  7. I think you did a real solid job with this crit. As I was just telling you, the polaroid effect is real great, especially in the damaged images. It makes them look like shit, but in a good way. Real gritty vintage punk type stuff, which is a nice style for this. 1 or 7 would have to be my favorite images, take your pick.

  8. Hey Mike! Awesome set, I really like how the polaroid frames added to the photos instead of making them cliche vintage photos. You nailed the effortless grunge vibe. I think the photo that was really made with the additional editing/framing is photo 8- it just made me smile. The added caption of family breakfast brought me back to all the great memories I've had with my friends and you captured all of it in this simple shot. I also liked the nowhere, pa shot- I think you really used the caption feature to your advantage. Awesome job!

  9. Hi Michael! You did a really awesome job with these photos. It looks like you had a lot of fun with the whole "vintage" thing. My favorite photo is the first one. It feels like something I could have pulled out of an old family photo album...and I just really like cats.
