Veronica, I love all the pictures you posted! especially since I'm such a sucker for pictures of the sky. Your pictures really make the clouds stand out and look amazing. It looks like a painting. My only somewhat critic is maybe just 1 or 2 pictures less that focused on the clouds. but my favorite has to be picture 9. it gives me this feeling of like half a beach and half a desert for some reason. I really like how it came out!
I was overcome with an acute nostalgia while looking at your photos, it reminds me of my trips to the beach with my friends over the summer. however, my favorite photo in this collection is number four. I love how it looks like you ran from one spot to next but it probably just another person behind you. I also like that you used the lessons from previous assignments in this one shot; i.e. black and white, framing, utilizing object to extend space. Good job
My favorite photo is #15 I love how it is mostly black and white and have a slight hint of color. This photo is nostalgic for me because I used to live right outside center city like this when I was 5 and this street and skyline photo reminds me of my old house. Most of your photos pull happy emotions from me whether is it the city or a beautiful sky.
Awesome Job. Your photos really blew me away. I think you nailed the assignment of extended seeing. each of your photos forces me to refocus and the places you visited have a lot of character. I really like your panoramics at the beach. I was in Long Beach Island earlier this month for Chowderfest and I did not get a chance to get to the beach. The beach at this time of year is so desolate and beautiful. No people, no litter and unlimited space. I especially like #12. The ramp looks like it goes on forever. I must say tho my favorite photo is #4. I like how it is off center, from a low perspective and the use of delayed shutter speed to capture the movement to the left. Both your slow shutter speed photos in this collection are cool and I hope you explore this more in the future. Professor Berkowitz had mentioned having a group of students who went out together and created some really great images. I was going to see if anyone was interested in maybe exploring this next assignment. Would you be interested?
Four is tops. The still subject with the blurred person behind it makes it a very successful slow shutter speed shot. My only real criticism is that a lot of your beach photos kind of feel the same for me. They're all very good, so it's not the end of the world, but I think a bit of variety in them could make them even better. Great work.
Hi Veronica, I love all your outdoor and nature pictures! I am always drawn to pictures like yours! I notice there are not many slow shutter speed pictures in your collection, so maybe more of them would have been nice. My favorite picture is #5 because it reminds me of going on a road trip to somewhere random and just unpacking your stuff and making camp! I also like the sky and the sun almost setting. Great picture!
Hey Veronica, I really like this set of pictures, you did a great both with both your panoramas and shutter speed. I'm always drawn the that closed store on Fairmount in #3, there's something about that style of storefront that is tragically lost today. My favorite from this set is #8, I love the natural lighting and all the different colors you were able to capture in one scene.
Number 15 is my favorite. I think it is very well composed and I like the purple/ pinkish hue. But I also really like a majority of your other photos. Number 4 is very well composed and the use of slow shutter creates a great, kind of eerie, effect and is very effective. Number 7 is also a very impressive and effective use of slow shutter speed and creates a beautiful image. The color correction on all of your photos is excellent and looks great. For organization, most of your photos are organized and grouped by where they were taken, except a few that are out of place.
Photo 4 is most intriguing to me. I really enjoy the perspective of the photo and can't help but wonder what all those boxes are. The long exposure aspect is very subtle with the people walking in the background. Nicely done.
I like photo #12 because you captured an interesting leading line with your wide angle shot. I also appreciate the vastness of the environment you captured and the vibrant colors.
