My favorite has to be #17. I chose this one to be my favorite because it just screams out my childhood. I remember being on a class field trip and on the bus, we drove by this bridge. We were all so excited about the fact that this bridge had words on it and we all read it out loud together. It also reminds me of little road trips I used to have when I was younger with my family. We would always pass by this bridge because we lived right near it. It basically just reminds me of home and my adolescence. Great job!
Your second self portrait is my favorite. It looks so 70's recording studio. You def captured the vintage/memory feeling. I also like the mixture of photos between subjects.
Hi Veronica. I really like your photo #3. The ornate style and architecture of the building you shot is a great example of our topic Vintage/Memory. The building reminded me of a memory I had when I was traveling in Europe where there are a lot of old buildings and architecture. I also like the muted blues and the saturated reds in the picture.
Hey Veronica, I thought your pictures has a lot of contrast and that was one of my favorite elements of your set. #1, 2 ,9 and 17 especially. You used the lighting well to highlight these features and give your images emotion. For example, in your first photo I feel like I’m in a rundown neighborhood that is starting to come back to life on a gloomy day. You get a sense of life and potential form the flowers on the windowsill but then the rest of the building looks worn down and graffitied. I like the space you created in #5. Its cluttered and chaotic and takes you a bit to really be able to focus in. #14,15,16 are also taking with great lighting. #15 is my favorite (although the apple pie was a close second). You created a creepy gloomy atmosphere, that appears to be in the past rather than the present and I cannot nail down why.
#2 is my favorite. It captures the vintage aesthetic of the building very well. It is also very well framed. The lighting in this shot is very good. I also really like the lighting in #14. I like the subject mater in #3, it's very surreal and the shot is composed in a way that enforces this.
#4 is my favorite i feel like old tvs are always the best example of vintage and on top of that theres graffiti on the tv itself which really pops out being in black and white and i love how i can see the reflection in the screen itself it looks like the tv is on great shot
Your first image is my favorite. Gives me all them nostalgic fall feels. Wanna go jump in some leaves. I don't really feel too much of a connection between most of the images, though.
Hi Veronica, I really love photo 6, what looks like an old dress shop of sorts. It feels very vintage and shot me back to a scene in West Side Story. That's awesome; there's definitely a story to be told here.
