For the construction of your photos, I believe you photographed items that have sentimental value to you. Your photos to me communicate a past story. Your first photo cracked me up. I can remember being young and thinking the phone was SO COOL and getting wrapped up in the never ending cord that was always impossible to detangle. I wish you would have led us on to more information behind the meaning of the items but maybe your intention was to create a space that we could dwell in. My favorite photo is 6. I love the vintage books and color.
Hey Kati, your photos here are really great and recall a lot of vivid memories for me and similar images I've seen from photos taken in the past. #1 has an 90s advertisement feel and the records in #6 and #14 have that earthy tone of the 1970s. As silly as it may be, my favorite photo from this set is #2, the dinosaur pattern reminds me of a lot of shirts and attire I had as a child and the filter distorts the color nicely.
Hi Kati. I liked your photos overall. My favorite was photo #1 where you are holding an old telephone. This photo really reminded me of a memory when I was younger and nobody really used cellphones and everybody used landline phones.
Hey Kati, All your pictures are unique and I like how they are objects that are older to express a vintage feel. My favorite picture is number 5 because it really does resemble a picture that was taken a long time ago. The filter works well with this object and the clock looks really old. Very cool!!
my favorite is 5. I'm not sure if it is a grandfather clock, but they creep me out. Even though they're creepy to me, they are also very beautiful. It gives the home a very old, creaky feel, but it is something that every home should have.
I love shot 13! I like that you used previous topic lessons (mystery) to really set the shot up in a way to keep your viewer guessing. It also had a great vintage feel as well as a story, making the viewing think about what the specific framing meant. The vintage lettering was also really beautiful and I'm glad you decided to highlight it!
