The first image is my favorite for this group of images. There is a great use of complimentary colors that adds a dynamic that is not possible with black and white. I think it was a very successful color photograph.
Hi Mariah, The content of your photos makes your theme of people you are passionate about clear. I like that you kept with one theme and that every photo although focused on specific people is very different. My only complaint is that some of the photos look too edited. Your photos are great and sometimes even a blurred edge can be distracting. My favorite photo is 9, I want to be there !
Hi Mariah, I really like how most of your pictures are of people. Most of us in this class took pictures of objects, but I like how you did something different! It’s really nice to be passionate about people! I enjoy looking at the pictures with your friends and family because everyone looks so happy and lively! The lighting in all your pictures is also very nice. I like how you used natural light as well as lights from inside, that allows for differences throughout your work. My favorite pictures is #9 because the subject is very interesting to look at and I want to continue to look at it to figure out exactly what it is. Looking at the picture makes me feel like I am there on the street looking at the statue instead of looking through a computer!
Mariah, i really like your last picture of yourself the sunlight glare to the left of you adds an element of like majesty and your hair is color itself in combination with your eyes, the contrast from the red hair to the piercing blue eyes is great very nice
I really enjoyed the different ways you captured your subjects in your portraits (portraiture is my favorite thing to do in photography), and I also really enjoy the way that you capture unusual things at unusual angles (like 13 and 14). Photo 12 is my absolute favorite image. I know that a few of your images have this look of just a bit too much post editing on them, and while it's very possible you may have editing it out of proportion to get this beautiful rainbow effect, I choose to believe that you did find this mysterious brick walled place with all these subtle and beautiful colors. Great job.
I like #12 because of your use of lighting against the wall. I really like how you've incorporated color into the lighting along with strong composition in the photo.
I like the theme of portraits in this set. I think my favorite is #13. The jelly fish in the tank looks awesome with the background color and the light hitting it. Great self portraits as well.
