Hi Natalie, My favorite image is #6. It has a lot of elements to it and having the frame completely full pulls the viewer in multiple directions. It captures a lot of beauty and mystery.
Natalie - Your set is awesome and you have a great eye for framing. The way the trains fit into that triangle pattern on the fence in #2 is brilliant. As far as passion and color, #11 is one of the stand out photos I've seen from this unit thus far and my favorite of this set. I love how inspiring I find it and how the way you shoot the sun gives the viewer a sense of reckoning.
My favorite photo is #3 I love the dingy color of the train you captured. It makes me feel like I am looking through the fence myself to see the train. I like the little sun poking through the trees. It makes me look around the whole picture to really grasp the whole photo. I loved the color in your photos, but I wish there were some photos inside or in a darker setting. Overall great job.
I love #3. The symmetry brings me into the photo at first, but then as I look, I'm drawn further back to the train. The government grayed out color definetly allows this mysterious depth to work to your advantage. Overall your framing and layouts are nice, and no harsh over saturation which is good to see. Nice!
I really like how you have a bunch of different environments in your set of pictures. My favorite would be 6. I like how you have the darker colors towards the bottom and then the top of the picture is lighter due to the sun. I love how the steps are covered in grass and lead up to this big, beautiful house. It's cool how the main color in this picture is green but it's accented with the red and purple from the flowers on the left and then the tan/brown color of the house on the right. This picture makes me feel like I'm somewhere in Europe. Keep up the good work!
Hi Natalie, I really enjoy the different environments you've captured that brought out the vibrant colors of nature and passion, particularly in picture #6. It gives me a "wanderlust-mystery" type of feeling where I feel as if I'm actually there in person.
6 and 9 are my favorite shots. I love that the house in the distance is such a mystery. It might be abandoned? Can't tell, but the chosen angle of the shot holds the promise of a long nature walk with a mysterious surprise at the end. 9 is awesome because it shows how nature can take over all man made creation, but in such a beautiful way.
6, 7, and 9 I believe are the most successful regular images in this series. They have good color, they're well constructed, and they capture nice moments. Some of the other images look a little blurry, so I'd recommend you try and slow down a bit to hold the phone steady/use a surface to prop it up on. A little blur can be good sometimes (especially if you mean to do it that way), but this seems more accidental to me. Your second self portrait is my favorite image. I'm not sure how you managed to pull off capturing an image like that, but the reflection looks very eerie and gives me a sense of despair. Keep it up.
My favorite is #1 because of the depth in the photo. I also really like the composition of the photo and the view is amazing. I think overall you've got a lot of successful wide shots and maybe should shoot some close ups.
My favorite picture out of your set is number 6! I loved how you captured the brightness of the garden, but also framed the house in the background to add a depth to the shot. I also liked shot number 9 because of how the color of the wall matched the color of the flowers in the shot. Good eye!
