Hi Veronica, for the construction of your work, the content is all interesting and makes me want to keep looking at your pictures. I like that all the pictures are unique and each picture makes you wonder what exactly is going on. As for the communication, the brightness in some of your pictures brings a sense eye catching feelings and draws you into the picture even more. And for the conception your captured the mystery very well and I can tell your motivation was to make the viewers continue to look at your pictures in wonder. My favorite picture is #7 because although you can tell that is a wall with hand markings, the mystery is who's hands was that from instead of what image is that, and I think that is a great twist on the assignment.
Veronica - You have some great perspective in all your photos, the two that I keep looking back to are numbers one and five. The first reminds me of one of those satellite pictures of Earth taken from space, yet there's also something very earthy and nature-like about it. My favorite is #4, it reminds me of the inside of a bottle and as my eye continually scans it I think of different objects from batteries to windows.
My favorite photo is number 7. I like how the hand prints are a bright white and immediately catch your eye. I also really like how in photo 11 it looks like your hair is blending into the grass behind it. For the construction of your work, most of your pictures appear to be interesting surface patterns/textures. For the communication of your work, all of the photos are very clear and have a stark contrast. In a lot of your photos you deal with parallel lines which is very visually interesting. For the conception of your work, your photos alternate between photos of parallel lines (like photo 6) and photos of bizarre textures (like photo 9). I like your photo collection a lot.
These all kept my attention. I think 8 is your weakest one, that being said I can't tell what the rest really are at all so you nailed the assignment. The theme I'm getting from these is the way you set up your frames. I like that theyre all very full with a lot of detail because you got close. Great stuff.
I really enjoyed your photos. Each picture has it's own pattern/texture, much different then the other themes I have seen. By highlighting these characteristics, you draw the viewer in making them have to refocus on what is actually going on. Each picture being at different angles, focuses and sceneries have contributed to the overall mystery of your images. Great job. My favorite is number 1. I love the design and focus.
Photo 7 is my favorite. While I can clearly tell what it is, I love that it's making me wonder and ask questions. Great use of rule of thirds here as well. Very interesting shot. Creepy, too.
I like photo 7 the best. I shot something similar and just think it creates a cool effect where your eye is kind of floating down the drain. Very cool. The framing is awesome in them, too. You mixed it up and didn't just frame things one way.
I really like the first photo in your photo set. Overall, it feels like you use space well in your photos.
